Molotov cocktail art

The walls of an abandoned WWII hospital in Yekaterinburg in Russia are now full of amazing portrait installations. They are a bit blurry because they have been burnt with the Molotov cocktails, also know as the petrol bomb;. These huge portraits are of fallen WWII soldiers, and they’re made from white bandages. A group of young artist has made them and put up on walls before they hit them with Molotov cocktails.

Adolf Hitler's Paintings

Hitler is known for being one of the most evil and murderous leaders in history. All of these Adolf Hitler's paintings are from 1914-1917. It's interesting to see that the bloodiest dictator of the 20th century was painting flowers, cute dogs and women.

Adolf Hitler, failed dictator of Germany during the Second World War, produced a variety of oil and watercolor paintings. In addition to being responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of people, including the genocide of six million Jews, Hitler was an artist who used cathedrals and flowers as subject matter for many of his paintings.

Before becoming involved in politics, Hitler applied several times to The Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, hoping to further his artistic career. He was turned down each time, and was forced to live on the streets, selling paintings to tourists and exchanging them in restaurants for meals.

White Horse Prophesy

Mormon readers amongst us may be familiar with this prophesy, but most of us aren’t. The White Horse Prophecy is a statement purported to have been made in 1843, by Joseph Smith (founder of the Mormon religion). According to the prophecy, the Mormons would “go to the Rocky Mountains and … be a great and mighty people”, identified figuratively with the White Horse described in the Apocalypse of St John. The prophecy further predicts that the United States Constitution will one day “hang like a thread” and will be saved “by the efforts of the White Horse”. “A terrible revolution will take place in the land of America, such as has never been seen before; for the land will be left without a Supreme Government, and every specie of wickedness will be practiced rampantly in the land. Father will be against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother. The most terrible scenes of bloodshed, murder and rape that have ever been imagined or looked upon will take place.” Smith believed that the US Constitution was written by the inspiration of God and that the Mormon religion would save it – and America during this time he prophesied.

Johns Hopkins Hospital

Johns Hopkins Medicine employs more than 10,000 people across our hospital campuses and other health care entities around Maryland. The Johns Hopkins Hospital is widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest hospitals. It has been ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the best overall hospital in America for 21 consecutive years. The hospital’s main medical campus in East Baltimore is served by the easternmost station on the Baltimore Metro Subway.Medical achievements at Johns Hopkins include the first male-to-female sex reassignment surgery in the United States that took place in 1966 at the Hopkins Gender Identity Clinic. Two of the most far-reaching advances in medicine during the last 25 years were also made at Hopkins. First, the Nobel Prize-winning discovery of restriction enzymes gave birth to the genetic engineering industry. Second, the discovery of the brain’s natural opiates has triggered an explosion of interest in neurotransmitter pathways and functions. Other accomplishments include the development of HeLa, the first and arguably most important line of human cells grown in culture; identification of the three types of polio virus; and the first “blue baby” operation, which opened the way to modern heart surgery
