Solar Stadium

Taiwan built the stadium, which is replacing the roof of huge solar panels, a total area of just over 14 thousand square meters. Due to this the stadium is able to produce 1,14 gigawatts of electricity every year! The stadium seats 55 thousand spectators. The cost of construction amounted to U.S. $ 150 million. The first game at the stadium was held in July 2009.
