Middle of the financial buildings and residential towers of Belgian architect Vincent Kalleba (Vincent Callebaut) intends to build an alternative skyscraper. His 132-storey complex will be built in the south of Roosevelt Island (Roosevelt Island), symbolizing the need for environmental sustainability. The main focus of the conceptual design - an attempt to create a completely self-sufficient organism that is recycling solar, wind, water, and can produce food, in the midst of a megacity.
The system is concentrated around the two main towers. They are symmetrically arranged, grown not only horizontally but also vertically, that is important to close Manhattan.
Metal and glass wings, inspired by the dragon to become home to plants and animals. Thanks to favorable natural conditions, a good solar and wind, at multiple levels, which will be made available soil nutrients, plants will be grown. External vertical gardens are fed by rainwater, which after use will be mixed with household waste, after exposed to organic processing, for use on farms.
In the space between the wings is going to warm the air through which the room will be heated in winter, summer, natural ventilation, as well as evaporation from the plant will cool the air.
