Bra that converts to gas mask wins science prize



This year's Ig Nobel Awards have been announced, and the winner is Dr. Elena Bodnar of Hinsdale, Illinois. She wins it for patenting a bra that, in an emergency, can be converted into a pair of gas masks, one for the owner and one for a needy bystander. Ig Nobels, popularly known as the Igs, are a cheeky spoof on Nobel awards, awarded to scientific discoveries with a dash of humour in them. Igs are anything but 'Ignoble', say Nobel awardees themselves
